The Design Process
Community Involvement
In all, 2 public participation events were convened along with a formal presentation of ideas at the end of the second event in Bathurst.
In addition to direct physical contact with attendees during the events, feedback forms were distributed during the first two events, the results from which, as well as comments received during the events themselves formed the basis of many of the decisions made during the design process.
Important feedback received related to, amongst other topics;
- amenity required to be provided;
- desired built form;
- site history;
- opportunity for links to the community;
- management and operational issues, and
- localised weather conditions.
