The Heritage Retirement Village Bathurst Australia Crighton Lifestyle Resorts - so much more than a retirement village

The Proposed Village

The Masterplan

The final concept masterplan envisages a pattern of development designed to cater for the needs of seniors in Bathurst over the development phase of the next 6 to 7 years.

The proposal, consisting of some 215 individual serviced self care residences (predominantly free standing) and a range of on-site support and lifestyle amenities, responds directly to the researched, canvassed, perceived and forecast needs of the current and future population of Eglinton and Bathurst.

Beyond the mere provision of facilities on site though, the design responds closely to site conditions, residents needs and properly integrates with the established Village of Eglinton.

Whilst the "Heritage" (the name proposed) will be privately owned and the individual houses sold, on a leasehold basis, the Village will not be a Gated Community. Not only will public access be provided within the Heritage, it has been designed to be encouraged!

A pedestrian / cycle loop within the village will link directly with the established street front, footpath network. Looping around the site, the path will provide an enjoyable, safe experience for walkers, joggers and cyclists alike throughout the courtyard gardens of the village. Village facilities including meeting, multipurpose and consultation rooms which will be utilised by visiting practitioners will be shared with the local community. In particular, local residents of Eglinton and Bathurst will have access to the onsite Coffee and produce shop.

By carefully planning the road and footpath layouts, (working with, not against the site contours) it has been possible to ensure that 100% of the houses and the amenities comply with disabled access requirements. All houses proposed are single storey.
