The Heritage Retirement Village Bathurst Australia Crighton Lifestyle Resorts - so much more than a retirement village

Why Bathurst?

Over the coming decades Australia's population of seniors (aged 55 and over) is projected to increase substantially. The ageing of the population is a major change in Australia's demographic composition, and occupies much of the current focus for both economic and social policy.

The accelerated rate of ageing is partly attributed to the ageing 'Baby Boomer' generation but with a gradual decline in birth rates from later generations, and health outcomes continuing to reduce mortality rates, the life expectancy of Australians is guaranteed to continue to increase significantly.

Whilst this is a national phenomenon across the board, on a micro scale many retirees have a desire to continue to reside within their home towns, enjoying their own established network of friends and services, within an environment in which they are familiar - rather than to gravitate to other "sea-change" or "tree-change" locations
